Competition Information
There are several competition opportunities available to athletes of all ages JD9 through Masters, including the regional VIAA Island Series, championship meets, summer games, and more. All meet information can be found on the BC Athletics Calendar/Results page HERE.
VIAA Island Series Meets

Bob Dailey Meet - April in Port Alberni
Dogwood Meet - May in Victoria
Elwood Wylie Meet - May in Nanaimo
Garriock Meet - June in Duncan
Solstice Meet & Island JD Championships - June *Home meet for the Comox Valley Cougars
All VIAA Island Series Meets are open to all athletes from JD9 through Masters. There are no minimum entry standards that must be achieved to attend these meets.

BC Athletics Junior Development Pentathlon Championships - Open to all JD9-JD13 athletes
BC Athletics Junior Development Outdoor Championships - Open to all JD9-JD13 athletes
BC Athletics Outdoor Provincial Championships - Open to all U16-Senior athletes
BC Athletics Masters Outdoor Provincial Championships - Open to all Masters athletes (ages 35+)
All provincial championships are open to all athletes in the applicable age group for that championship. There are no minimum entry standards that must be achieved to attend these meets.

Canadian Outdoor National Championships - Open to U20 & Senior athletes
BC Summer Games Championships - Open to U16 athletes
Canada Summer Games Championships - Open to U20 & U24 athletes
All national championships and summer games are open to athletes in specific age groups and include specific entry standards to attend each meet. Some meets are limited to athletes that have qualified for, and been selected to, a regional or provincial team.
